Job Title: Shop Operator (Temporary Position)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shop Operator to join our team on a temporary basis. This position will support our production team and assist with increased workload demands. The duration of this assignment will be determined based on business needs.
Position Summary
The Shop Operator facilitates the cutting, finishing, storing, cleaning, and shipping of wood and plastic products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare each job according to job orders and verbal/written instructions
Inspect completed products to ensure they meet company quality standards
Move finished products between workstations and the shipping area as needed
Report problems or discrepancies to management
Operate shop equipment and machinery in accordance with safety guidelines
Notify management of equipment malfunctions, injuries, or safety concerns
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Experience operating shop equipment such as table saws and routers preferred
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a manufacturing/production environment
Continuous standing, walking, and use of hand tools
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to use a computer keyboard, monitor, and related equipment
This is a temporary position with the potential for schedule adjustments based on production needs.
