Aviation Engineering Project Manager
Job DescriptionA growing and innovative engineering firm is looking to add a Senior Aviation Engineering Project Manager for their Indianapolis team!Responsibilities:Business Development responsibilities:Develop new businessIdentify/market additional business opportunities for existing clientsClient relations managementParticipate in proposal presentationsUtilize CRM for tracking all business development activitiesMeet with new/existing clients to gather project informationDevelop proposal sections and scopes of work with technical staffManagement responsibilities:Manage overall financial performance and day-to-day operationsImplement growth/sales plansDevelop strategic plan for departmentManage/deliver quality aviation projects on-time and within budgetMeet/exceed client expectationsConduct job hazard analysisCreate job site specific health/safety plansMentor/train junior staffUtilize staff to keep project on budgetTechnical responsibilities:Manage multiple projects at onceProvide technical direction/development on scope of workMitigate project riskAssign projects to designers/engineersManage scopeIdentify/document changes in scope and acquire amendments for changesPerform airfield civil engineering design tasksManage the bidding processPrepare complex studies, construction documents, drawings, maps, reports and supporting documentationProvide senior QC review and directionVisit work sites to monitor project progressCommunicate regularly with clientsDefine scope of work and man-hour requirementsEnsure tasks, project schedules, and budgets are metCreate engineering reports, specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packagesLead project decisions regarding technical aspects, cost, and scheduleIdentify schedule/cost variances and recommend corrective action Requirements: Bachelor's degree in civil engineeringMaster's degree in civil engineering is preferred8+ years of significant airside designPE LicenseExperience in the successful application of FAA criteria/regulationsProject management experienceBusiness development/marketing experience (writing proposals, scopes of work, budgets)Experience using project management softwareSalary is commensurate with experience.Successful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to protected veteran status, disability, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.Please contact Laura Harrison for further information!www.harrisonconsultingsolutions.com
