Travel RN – Cardiac Cath Lab (Day Shift)Location: Illinois Shift: 10-Hour Day Shift (07:00 – 17:30) Schedule: 40 hours/week Pay Rate: $78–$82/hour Contract Duration: 13 WeeksJob OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join a high-performing cardiovascular team. This role requires strong clinical expertise in interventional cardiology and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac proceduresMonitor and circulate during Cath Lab and electrophysiology casesAdminister moderate sedation (Versed/Fentanyl)Manage vasoactive drips and perform hemodynamic monitoringProvide pre- and post-procedure patient careCollaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team membersCase Types & ProceduresDiagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations (LHC/RHC)STEMI and NSTEMI managementAdvanced devices: Impella, IABP, Rotoblator, ShockwaveComplex cases including CTOs and staged PCIElectrophysiology procedures: pacemakers, AICDs, Micra, lead extractions/revisionsPeripheral vascular interventionsUnit Details3 Cath LabsAverage 5–15 cases per dayHigh-acuity, procedure-focused environmentRequirementsMinimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experienceActive RN licenseBLS and ACLS certifications requiredExperience with sedation, cardiac procedures, and critical patient monitoringFirst-time travelers will not be consideredTechnology & EquipmentEMR: EpicIV Pumps: AlarisMedication System: PyxisHemodynamic Monitoring: PhilipsImaging: Merge PACS, Philips C-armScheduling & CallOn-call required (weekday and weekend rotation)30-minute response time requiredSelf-scheduling with manager approvalUp to 7 days RTO allowed*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
