Description:Cosentino's Sunfresh #448 is seeking a dedicated and skilled Deli Cook to join our team. This role requires a passion for food preparation and customer service, ensuring high-quality food production and a positive dining experience. This position involves early morning shifts, requiring excellent time management and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.Responsibilities:Prepare a variety of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, and hot foods, following recipes and maintaining food quality.Operate grilling equipment to cook meats and other items to perfection.Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and ensuring satisfaction.Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to sanitation guidelines and food safety protocols.Assist with inventory management, including stocking, rotating products, and minimizing waste.Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operation and efficient service.Practice food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling and storage of food items.Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring all items meet established standards.Demonstrate effective communication skills with colleagues and customers.Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, fostering teamwork and positivity.Minimum Qualifications:Working knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods.Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.General knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.Possession of a valid Food Handler's Card.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Strong customer service skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent time management skills, especially during peak hours.Preferred Qualifications:ServSafe Certification.Experience in a deli or restaurant setting.Familiarity with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles.Experience with inventory management.
