DescriptionJob Description 1: Environmental / Civil Project EngineerPosition Summary A growing environmental and civil engineering consultancy in the Greater Orlando area is seeking a hands-on Environmental / Civil Project Engineer to support regulated infrastructure, water, remediation, and environmental projects. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys balancing technical design work with report writing, documentation, and coordination across complex project scopes.The right person will be comfortable working in a highly regulated environment, contributing to client-ready deliverables, and supporting projects that may include water quality, water distribution, remediation, environmental compliance, and related civil engineering work.Location Longwood, Florida areaWork Arrangement Primarily onsite / local to the Greater Orlando area, with in-person collaboration expectedKey ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesSupport the planning, design, and execution of environmental and civil engineering projectsPrepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, and other client-facing engineering documentationContribute to water, wastewater, remediation, environmental compliance, and infrastructure-related project workAssist with engineering analysis, permitting support, and regulated project documentationCoordinate with internal technical staff, field teams, clients, agencies, and project stakeholdersReview site data, field findings, and project requirements to inform design recommendationsSupport development of project scopes, schedules, and technical deliverablesEnsure work products align with applicable regulatory, quality, and client standardsParticipate in problem solving across multidisciplinary environmental and civil projectsContribute to a small-team environment where engineers are expected to stay close to the technical details of the workSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related engineering disciplineCurrent or recent engineering experience in environmental, civil, water / wastewater, remediation, geotechnical, or closely related infrastructure workExperience producing engineering designs, technical reports, or compliance-oriented documentationAbility to work effectively in a regulated, detail-oriented project environmentStrong written communication skills and the ability to prepare clear technical deliverablesBased in, or able to reliably commute to, the Greater Orlando / Longwood areaPreferred QualificationsEIT, FE, PE, or PE-track progressionExperience in consulting environments where engineers handle both technical execution and writingExposure to water quality, water reuse, water distribution, remediation, aquifer, or design-build projectsFamiliarity with permitting, agency coordination, or environmental compliance processesExperience supporting small-to-mid-sized project teams in a hands-on role
