DESCRIPTION OF WORK PennDOT is providing a wealth of opportunities for students eager to kickstart their careers in the summer of 2026. This initiative allows participants to gain invaluable experience in various fields, including roadway maintenance, geology, and other scientific or technical areas. The internship positions available through this program will be specifically located within Engineering District 5, which encompasses Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, and Schuylkill Counties. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: Must be currently enrolled or intending to enroll full-time or part-time in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree, or advanced degree program. Must be a Pennsylvania resident or currently enrolled at a Pennsylvania college or university. In good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher) Must be at least 18 years of age Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
