Mechanical Design Engineer II – Structures
Role Description:
The Mechanical Design Engineer II – Structures role is a contract, on-site position based in Berkeley, CA. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical structures and components, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and compliance requirements. Daily activities include creating and updating 3D models and drawings, performing structural analyses and design reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as systems engineering, manufacturing, and quality. The engineer will prepare engineering documentation, support prototype builds and testing, and drive design changes based on test results and feedback. The position also involves working closely with suppliers and production teams to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of structural solutions.
