QA Automation Engineer

Job Title: QA Automation EngineerLocation: Austin, TX (Hybrid)Duration: 6+ MonthsKey Responsibilities: QA automation engineers design automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically. This includes determining the priority for test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios. Designing documentation for automated processes.Design and execute test plans and test cases for database applications.Perform functional, performance, and regression testing on various databases.Identify, document, and report defects and issues found during testing.Work with development and database administration teams to resolve issues.Develop and maintain automated scripts for database testing.Ensure data integrity and consistency across various database systems.Monitor database performance and provide recommendations for optimization.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather testing requirements and objectives.Minimum Requirements: Experience with designing automated tests by creating scripts that run database testing functions automaticallyExperience in prioritizing test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenariosExperience in creating test plans, test cases, and preparing test environmentsExperience in performing moderately complex functional, application, and regression testingKnowledge of the software development life cycle and software development methodologiesAble to interpret requirement documents and able to update test documents accordinglyStrong familiarity with analysis, planning and management reporting functionsAcquires knowledge of the Customer's business in assigned areaStrong teamwork and interpersonal skillsAble to work with Customer as needed during test cycleExcellent analytical; problem-solving; team playing; and oral and written communication skillsProven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilitiesExperience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templatesFamiliarity with company's information architecture and information management methodologiesFamiliarity with the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional and local software architecture and infrastructure components
