We are passionate about supporting emerging artists and creating meaningful experiences for art enthusiasts.Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Art Sales Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about contemporary art and eager to gain hands-on experience in artist relations, sales coordination, and digital gallery operations. The intern will play a key role in supporting our online marketplace, managing artist onboarding, and cultivating collector relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesArtist Outreach & OnboardingIdentify and reach out to artists to be featured on the BCM (Black Copper Market) platformWalk artists through the sales process, expectations, and available opportunitiesCoordinate with artists to collect artwork details, pricing, and assetsLaunch CoordinationSchedule and coordinate artist feature launches on the BCM siteEnsure launch timelines, promotional assets, and product details are organized and completed on timeCollaborate with the team to support launch promotion and visibilityProduct Upload & Shop ManagementUpload artworks to Shopify and other sales platformsMaintain accurate product listings, inventory counts, pricing, and descriptionsAssist with organizing collections, featured drops, and seasonal releasesSales Tracking & Inventory ManagementMonitor artwork sales and maintain inventory recordsTrack sales performance and assist in updating internal sales reportsSupport monthly artist payout preparation and sales tracking in Monday.comClient Database DevelopmentBuild and maintain a database of collectors and prospective clientsOrganize contact information and support relationship management effortsAssist in maintaining CRM records and outreach listsAdministrative & Team SupportMaintain organized files and updates across Monday.com, Google Drive, and shared systemsAttend scheduled team meetings and provide updates on assigned projectsSupport additional sales and operational tasks as assignedExpectations & AvailabilitySelect one consistent day per week for a standing check-in meeting with the teamCreate a weekly schedule outlining planned working days and hoursBe reachable via Slack during scheduled work hoursMaintain clear and timely communication with the teamUphold accountability and follow through on assigned tasksRequired QualificationsStrong interest in fine art, art sales, and the creative industryExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHighly organized and attentive to detailSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasksExperience with Google Workspace and Shopify (or willingness to learn)Comfort with digital tools like Monday.com, Notion, or CRM systemsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in galleries, artist management, or art salesFamiliarity with contemporary artists and art trendsBasic knowledge of sales processes and e-commerce platformsGraphic design or email marketing skills are a plus (Figma, Mailchimp, etc.)Compensation & BenefitsOpportunities to attend art fairs, workshops, and networking events (up to $30 per ticket for 4 art fairs per year)Access to mentorship and professional development within a growing arts organizationFlexible, remote work environment
