Mill Creek Lumber and Supply Company is a leading provider of lumber and building materials, serving the construction industry since 1934. Mill Creek Carpet and Tile, a subsidiary of Mill Creek Lumber and Supply is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Builders Sales Representative, specializing in carpet and tile products, to join our team. As a Builders Sales Representative, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with builders, contractors, architects, and other industry professionals to drive sales of our carpet and tile products. You will play a critical role in promoting our brand, providing exceptional customer service, and achieving sales targets in the construction industry. This position pays a $2000 bi-weekly draw, plus a generous commission.
Responsibilities
Identify and target potential builders, contractors, architects, and other industry professionals to generate new business opportunities.
Present and demonstrate our carpet and tile products to prospective customers, highlighting their features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers while ensuring profitability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers, acting as their primary point of contact.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing product knowledge and guidance.
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and address customer needs effectively.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as customer service, operations, and logistics, to ensure timely and accurate order processing and delivery.
Develop a deep understanding of our carpet and tile products, including their technical specifications, installation processes, and maintenance requirements.
Stay updated on industry developments, emerging trends, and new product launches.
Conduct product training sessions and presentations for customers to enhance their knowledge and promote sales.
Monitor and analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for management, highlighting key performance indicators, market insights, and recommendations for improvement.
Provide feedback and suggestions to the management team regarding product enhancements, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
