Automation and Reliability Engineer

(Multiple Positions) Automation and Reliability Engineer – Optimus Steel LLC, Vidor, TX. Position involves developing and managing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs for high-capacity steel rolling mill operations; analyzing equipment performance trends using data acquisition systems integrated with enterprise maintenance platforms; configuring and adjusting rolling mill automation and control systems to optimize production quality and equipment reliability; performing process optimization through PLC programming and continuous improvement methodologies; conducting root cause analyses; reviewing engineering documentation and critical spare parts; coordinating contractors; and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field, and 5 years of progressive experience in steel manufacturing maintenance or process engineering, including experience with rolling mill control systems and predictive maintenance integration. Must be willing to relocate within commuting distance of Vidor, Texas. Remote work or long-distance commuting is not permitted.
