Traveling Site Receiver

Job Description Description:Position SummaryThe Traveling Site Receiver is responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, documentation, and coordination of materials delivered to active job sites across multiple locations. This role ensures all inbound shipments are accurate, properly documented, and aligned with project schedules. The Site Receiver plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, minimizing material loss, and supporting field operations.This position requires frequent travel to various project sites and close collaboration with procurement, logistics, and field teams.Key ResponsibilitiesTravel to assigned project sites to oversee and manage material deliveriesReceive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of ladingIdentify and document discrepancies, damages, or shortages; coordinate resolution with vendors and internal teamsMaintain accurate receiving logs, inventory records, and supporting documentationEnsure proper labeling, storage, and organization of materials on-siteCoordinate with site leadership, construction managers, and warehouse teams to support project timelinesTrack and report material status, including delays or critical shortagesAssist with inventory counts, audits, and material transfers between sitesEnforce company safety standards and site-specific protocols during all receiving activitiesUtilize inventory management systems, spreadsheets, and/or ERP tools to track materialsSupport mobilization and demobilization efforts for projects as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant certifications preferred2+ years of experience in receiving, warehouse, logistics, or construction site operationsExperience in construction, renewable energy, or industrial environments strongly preferredAbility to read and interpret purchase orders, shipping documents, and inventory reportsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel and basic inventory management systemsAbility to work independently in remote or field environmentsValid driver's license and clean driving recordWillingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 75–100%)Requirements:Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditionsCapability to operate or assist with material handling equipment (forklift experience preferred)Work EnvironmentPrimarily field-based at active construction sitesExposure to outdoor elements, construction noise, and heavy equipmentFrequent travel required, including extended stays at project locationsPre-Employment Requirements: Candidates must successfully complete a background check and drug screening prior to hire.
