The company prides itself on delivering high-quality results and meeting challenging project requirements with precision and efficiency.Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Director of Fleet Operations & Maintenance to oversee the company’s fleet, equipment maintenance programs, safety compliance, and asset management. This role ensures all equipment is maintained efficiently, work orders are completed accurately, and fleet safety standards are upheld across the organization. The position supervises the Maintenance Shop Foreman along with all fleet coordinators.This person must have multiple years of experience with a heavy civil contractor managing yellow iron.DutiesFleet & Equipment ManagementLead the company’s work order and maintenance management systems, ensuring accuracy, timely completion, and proper documentation.Supervise the Maintenance Shop Foreman and all shop/field mechanics.Oversee preventative maintenance scheduling, tracking, and execution for all fleet assets.Manage fleet cost tracking, including repairs, maintenance, and operational expenses for each piece of equipment.Oversee in‑vehicle dash camera systems and monitor driver behavior for compliance with the Fleet Safety Manual.Manage the company’s driving safety program, ensuring all required training is completed on schedule.Track and report equipment damages, including repair costs and root‑cause analysis.Partner with operations, project management, and field leadership to support jobsite equipment needs.Asset Tracking & ReportingOversee equipment rentals, including vendor coordination, cost tracking, and inventory management.Conduct asset lifecycle analysis, including repair‑versus‑replacement evaluations.Maintain accurate asset records, including utilization, lifecycle data, and cost history.Ensure accurate data entry and reporting within company fleet and maintenance systems.Reduce fuel & rental costs by evaluating vendors, forecasting job needs, and negotiating competitive pricing.Track work order costs and provide regular reporting to leadership.Compliance & SafetyEnsure all fleet and equipment operations comply with DOT regulations and company safety standards.Maintain documentation required for DOT audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.Support companywide safety initiatives related to equipment operation, fleet use, and incident prevention.Qualifications10+ years’ experience in equipment maintenance leadership, heavy equipment mechanics, fleet management, or similar roleExperience in Construction industryStrong working knowledge of heavy equipment, commercial vehicles, and maintenance practicesExpertise in preventative maintenance programs and asset lifecycle management.Knowledge of DOT regulations and fleet safety standards.Proven ability to lead and supervise personnel.Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting skills.Proficiency with work order systems, fleet tracking tools, and maintenance software.What We OfferCompetitive compensation based on experienceOpportunity to play a key role in a growing organizationCollaborative, team-oriented work environmentStable, long-term career opportunity within the construction industryBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork Location: In person, Texarkana, ArkansasPay: From $160,000.00 per yearExperience:Heavy equipment operation: 8 years (Preferred)
