Talascend is currently seeking an O&M Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Spring Hill, Florida . Overview The role involves operating, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating plant equipment in a power plant environment. The technician is responsible for completing logs, work orders, and administrative tasks while ensuring a safe working environment. Responsibilities Start and operate plant equipment as required by testing or dispatch Repair and maintain plant equipment in accordance with vendor recommendations and established plant procedures Accurately calibrate devices with test equipment Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with the site's CMMS system Complete logs, records, and work orders via the CMMS system Update maintenance manuals, logs, records, schedules, inventories, parts tracking, and initiate purchase orders as necessary Maintain a safe working environment including good housekeeping practices and compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies Perform routine inspections, observe electrical devices, and recommend repairs Support maintenance responsibilities such as plant cleanliness, warehouse operations, outage planning, customer requests, and facilities maintenance Install, troubleshoot, modify, repair, test, calibrate, and maintain various plant electrical equipment Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Minimum 2 years' experience in a combined or simple cycle power plant or related industrial environment Minimum 2 years prior training and knowledge of digital control systems and ability to modify computer programs Minimum 2 years electrical and instrumentation experience involving operation and maintenance of industrial equipment used in power plants Minimum 2 years troubleshooting industrial/power plant equipment and systems Ability to climb stairs and ladders, wear respirators, pass a physical exam, work in hot and cold environments, lift up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and elevated areas Schedule Rotational Shift, Weekdays, Weekends & Holidays as Assigned We thank all applicants for their interest.
