Job requires knowledge; skill and ability to provide care for neo-natal, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patient population.Daily TasksAssist Director with educating and coaching counseling staffCounsel employees and implement appropriate disciplinary action, when necessaryWork with Director and other leadership staff to Interview, hire, and orient new employeesProvide direction and assistance to PCAs regarding the SUD programTake part in pulling and evaluating data for Chemical Dependency Dashboard WorksheetComplete chart audits, as indicated per TJC, OhioDBH, etc.Review and evaluate outpatient SUD occurrence reportsConduct and document brief individual counseling sessions and all therapeutic activitiesFacilitate group therapyAttend Treatment Team, Monday through FridayReview and assign goal workAnswer phone callsComplete discharge summariesCommunicate with the Registration Specialist regarding the Treatment Team’s recommendation of Level of CareFamily consultations as neededCase management activitiesEducation lecturesFormulate Master Treatment Plan for patient and review progressRead patients goal work and provide suggestions for further learningWeekly TasksIndividual weekly review to assess patient progressAs Needed or Requested: Urgent family sessions/interventions for noncompliant or resistant patients with their counselor(s) and addictionologistSupervise Aftercare groups and write Aftercare letters regarding progress as neededHelp patients plan therapeutic leavesMonitor all patients’ AA attendanceMonitor Sober Living ResidentsMonthly TasksChart review quarterlyFacilitate counselor meetings quarterlyAttend manger meetings monthlyAttend Shepherd Hill Cabinet meetings quarterlyWeekend on-callEnsure patient satisfaction surveys are completed and turned in to the DirectorAnnual TasksAttend workshops for further education and keep licensure currentComplete WebEd courses and other required education (i.e., patient safety, Aegis, etc.)Maintain CPR certificationMeet with counselors & PCAs for annual reviewsLMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.CompetenciesPhysical performance of procedures/treatmentsAge and population specific careRestraint applicationIdentification and reporting of abuse/neglect victimsSafety and security issuesInfection control practicesCredentialsLicensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor – Clinical Supervision, LICDC-CSLicking Memorial Health Systems is an equal opportunity employer and maintains compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations.
