Logistics and Inventory Manager

Job Title: Logistics and Inventory ManagerFLSA Status: ExemptEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesInventory OwnershipOwn and maintain accurate inventory across multiple facilities, including raw materials, hardware, and finished goodsEnsure proper allocation of materials to work orders/jobs within ERP, maintaining system integrity and traceabilityLead cycle count programs, physical inventories, and audit processes; drive root cause corrective actions for discrepanciesEstablish and enforce inventory control standards, including FIFO and location accuracyEnsure all inventory transactions (receipts, issues, transfers, shipments) are accurate and timely in the ERP systemPartner with Purchasing, Production and Planning to ensure material availability aligns with production schedulesLogistics, Shipping & ReceivingOversee operations of shipping, receiving, and internal material movement across all facilitiesEnsure timely and accurate receiving, inspection, and system entry of incoming materialsEnsure all outbound shipments meet customer requirements, documentation standards, and on-time delivery expectationsPlan and coordinate transportation, including internal drivers and external carriers, optimizing cost and service levelsMaintain accurate shipping records including bills of lading, GPS logs, and scale tickets as applicableTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop a multi-functional team including drivers, shipping/receiving associates, inventory control, and material handlersEstablish clear expectations, monitor performance, and hold team accountable to safety, quality, and productivity standardsConduct hiring, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and corrective actions as neededPromote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvementDrive employee engagement and ensure alignment with company values and operational goalsSafety, Compliance & Fleet OversightLead and manage the company’s vehicle and driver safety programEnsure compliance with all DOT, OSHA, and internal safety requirementsProvide ongoing driver safety training, reporting, and incident follow-upOperational Excellence & Continuous ImprovementIdentify and implement process improvements to increase inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and improve material flowDevelop and track KPIs (inventory accuracy, on-time shipping, receiving efficiency, etc.)Lead problem-solving related to inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, and material shortagesSupport cross-functional initiatives with Production, Engineering, and Supply ChainRequired Knowledge, Skills And Abilities5+ years of experience in logistics, inventory management, or supply chain operations preferably within a manufacturing environment3+ years of leadership experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environmentExperience working in an ERP system (Shoptech strongly preferred)Strong understanding of inventory control practices, material flow, and warehouse operationsProven experience managing teams across multiple functions and/or locationsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook; PowerPoint preferred)Strong leadership presence with a hands-on, floor-oriented management styleExcellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and system integrityAbility to manage multiple priorities across locations in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionallyData-driven mindset with experience developing and using KPIsWork EnvironmentThis position operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments.
