The role requires strong hands-on expertise along with ownership, mentoring, and client interaction. Key Responsibilities: Technical Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications Develop and consume RESTful APIs and microservices Implement robust, secure, and high-performance solutions Ensure adherence to coding standards, design patterns, and best practices Solutioning & Design: Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions Contribute to low-level and high-level design (LLD/HLD) Participate in architecture discussions and design reviews Delivery Ownership: Own modules/components end-to-end Ensure quality, timelines, and deliverables are met Identify and mitigate technical risks/issues Collaboration & Stakeholder Interaction: Work closely with business analysts, QA, DevOps, and architects Participate in client discussions and status updates Provide technical clarifications and support during delivery Mentoring & Code Quality: Mentor junior developers and guide them on best practices Conduct code reviews and enforce quality standards Drive improvements in code quality, reusability, and performance Required Skills & Experience: Core Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience in: Java (8 or above) Spring Boot / Spring MVC Microservices Architecture Hibernate / JPA Experience building REST APIs and integration services Cloud & Modern Tech: Exposure to Cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP) Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes Database: Strong in SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) Knowledge of NoSQL (MongoDB) – good to have DevOps & Tools: CI/CD tools: Jenkins / Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions Version control: Git Familiarity with logging/monitoring tools Functional Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good communication and client-facing skills Experience in Agile/Scrum environment Preferred (Nice to Have): Domain experience in Insurance (Guidewire), Banking, Healthcare Exposure to frontend technologies (Angular/React) Knowledge of event-driven architecture (Kafka) The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $13.87/hour - $21.67/hour.
