They provide all necessary administrative support to the department - maintaining documentation and communications pertaining to the department, gathering necessary data/ reports and coordinating with different departments to fulfill assigned tasks. With the guidance of the Safety Director, the EHS Administrative Assistant will work with minimal supervision to ensure that the day-to-day audits and Safety training sessions are completed.Essential Responsibilities:Provide general administrative support to the department.Conduct Safety training sessions on topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, PPE, and workplace ergonomicsPartner with all warehouse departments to ensure all Safety procedures are adhered toMaintain all documentation/communications for the department.Prepare reports/summaries, maintain logs and supplies, monthly and quarterly audits.Participate in the review and assessment of new Safety projects, processes or equipment to ensure compliance with EHS requirementsAssist in updating educational materials, safety bulletins and newsletters to promote awareness and best practices related to EHSAdditional Responsibilities:As assigned by the Senior Manager Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills as public speaking is a major part of roleProven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands in a high paced environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:Minimum 2 years' experience in a Training or Administrative positionHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Additional qualifications in Environment, Health & Safety, Warehouse management, or a related field are a plus.
