Successful outcomes start and finish with eNGINE.Position OverviewThis role is responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining software testing strategies, including test plans, test cases, and status reporting. The individual will contribute to testing activities within an Agile/Scrum team environment, requiring strong collaboration, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesLead testing efforts for assigned projects and provide regular progress updatesDevelop, review, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure product requirements are metPerform functional and system-level testing on software applications, including those with critical performance or reliability requirementsIdentify, document, and track defects with detailed reporting and clear reproduction stepsCollaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve identified issuesAnalyze requirements to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and ambiguitiesAssess and communicate risks throughout the software development lifecycle; work cross-functionally to mitigate themFacilitate and participate in reviews of test plans, test cases, and defect reportsProvide accurate estimates for testing efforts on assigned work itemsEnsure traceability between requirements and test coverageMonitor and analyze automated test execution resultsDesign, develop, and maintain automated test scriptsParticipate in program, design, and documentation reviewsAdhere to established software release schedules and quality standardsMaintain compliance with applicable guidelines and ensure proper documentationContinuously enhance technical knowledge through training, research, and industry best practicesPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent practical experienceTypically requires 5+ years of relevant professional experienceDemonstrated success performing responsibilities similar to those listed aboveExperience writing SQL queriesFamiliarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShellExperience working with Linux-based systems and file structuresExperience testing APIs or web services using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or SwaggerSkills and CompetenciesTechnical CommunicationAbility to interpret complex technical documentationStrong written skills for producing clear reports and documentationEffective verbal communication skills for presenting information to diverse audiencesAnalytical and Problem-SolvingStrong analytical thinking and advanced problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to evaluate complex scenarios and determine optimal solutionsMathematical AptitudeBasic understanding of statistics and arithmetic conceptsAbility to work with data sets and interpret charts or graphsComputer SkillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general business software toolsWork EnvironmentPrimarily operates in a standard office or remote work environmentRequires collaboration with cross-functional teams while also working independently with minimal supervisionSignificant use of computers and communication tools is expected
