Oral Surgery Dental Assistant

Well established Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice in search of a surgical/dental assistant. Successful candidate must be patient centered and enjoy working in a quality focused, friendly environment. Prior surgical experience preferred; however, will train candidate to excel in their position on our team. Competitive salary that is commensurate with training and experience. Full-time preferred/part-time applicants will be considered. Responsibilities include Seat and obtain vital signs and review health histories with new and established patients. Correctly Position, Expose and Process Digital Imaging (Pano, CBCT, PAs) Select and set up sterile instruments, equipment and materials as needed Disinfect surgical operatories and exam rooms between patients Clean, Package and Sterilize Instruments according to national standards Assist the Oral Surgeon in office based surgical procedures Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care instructions Assist Oral Surgeon in charting and maintaining accurate patient records Answering telephone when needed Skills Excellent communication and people skills Experienced dental assistant preferred; will train new dental assistant school graduate General knowledge of dental instruments, dental radiology, infection control and sterilization methods Understand and be able to employ sterile technique CPR ACLS (will train if needed) DAANCE Certification preferred (not required but candidate must be willing to complete training following initial experience in the office). Florida Dental Radiography training preferred (not required) Nitrous Oxide Assisting Certificate preferred (not required) Understand and comply with established health & safety regulations Basic Computer Skills including MS Word Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
