Press Foreman- Night ShiftConsider joining Pennex as a Press Foreman- Night Shift at our Wellsville, PA location. The Press Foreman organizes operations on the press floor through direction from the Shift Supervisor.This is a nightshift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with rotating days and weekends.ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Organizes operations on the press floor through direction from the Shift Supervisor.Delegates responsibilities to operators, leads and helpers.Keeps the schedule moving, monitors production, quality, etc.Performs intermittent quality checks and communicates issues to Shift Supervisor.Provides supervisor coverage in absence of Shift Supervisor.Collaborates with maintenance team; reports all mechanical or electrical issues.Plans daily work schedules based on customer needs and meets expectations by supporting supervisors and performing the following duties:Ensures production schedules are followed as requiredOversees labor hours required to complete assigned tasksMonitors all overtime hoursFacilitates training and development of the press teamTracks and documents daily production levelsAssists in weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end inventoriesOperates equipment or handles materials to support production duties of press team to maintain process flowEnsures that a neat, orderly work area is maintained; assists in general shop housekeeping- ensuring successful execution of 6S initiatives.Oversees age oven cycles to ensure acceptable quality metal is produced (Correct cycles and times).Follows company rules and regulations regarding work and safety practices.Performs other duties as assignedQualificationsIdeal Candidate Will Have:Education:High school diploma or equivalent experience is requiredExperience:Previous hydraulic press operation or similar experience is preferredMechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues3 to 5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environmentPrevious leadership experience in manufacturing is preferredOther Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
