The scope of patients on the Hospitalist Service is broad ranging and includes medical consultation for surgical and non-surgical subspecialty patients, including Med Surg, ICU and step-down units. Schedule is 12-hour shifts working 7pm-7am Standard 7 on 7 off role MMC – Eau Claire is a Trauma Level III – 56 bed hospital 4 bed OPEN ICU Performing procedures is not a requirement We strongly encourage our physicians to be involved in medical education and research to continue building our strong foundation of patient care, research and education for years to come.**Community Description**Located in western Wisconsin, Eau Claire, meaning French for clear waters, is located at the confluence of the Chippewa and Eau Claire Rivers, and is considered to be one of Eau Claire’s finest assets and a valuable link to the area’s heritage. Fun Fact: Eau Claire is known as the Horseradish Capital of the World!**Job Description**The Adult Nocturnist Physician provides comprehensive, inpatient care for adult patients in a hospital setting. This role focuses on the management of acute and chronic medical conditions, coordination of care with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered outcomes throughout hospitalization.**Qualifications**M.D. or D.O. degree. Successful completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Current medical license in each state of practice.State Controlled Substance License (if required by State)Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine; or Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine; or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada).
