Physical Security Technician

Title: IT Physical Security Technician Location: Jackson, MS Duration: Full-time with ComTec Responsibilities: Review, troubleshoot and resolve support tickets related to the physical security systems such as Card Access Systems, Video Surveillance Systems, Intrusion Systems, and Fire Alarm Systems Assist in installing and supporting physical security systems such as Card Access Systems, Video Surveillance Systems and Intrusion Systems Responsible for remote/field maintenance and repair of electronic physical security systems in their assigned region. This includes preventative maintenance tasks to keep systems operating efficiently, regular functional testing to verify operation and coordination with key stakeholders for moves, adds, changes and repairs of any physical security components. With the help of engineers, install, configure, maintain and repair physical security systems/components such as the following: Perimeter Sensors, Thermal cameras, PTZ cameras, IP speakers, Encoders, Environmental sensors, Badge readers, Control Panels, Power supplies, Sounders, Door contacts, Motion sensors, Maglocks, Electronic padlocks, Gate controllers, and IP intercom systems. Work with other teams such as Network, Network Security, and Facilities in resolving the issues Provide good customer service Requirements: Must have 2+ years of experience of installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing physical security systems/components such as the following: Perimeter Sensors, Thermal cameras, PTZ cameras, IP speakers, Encoders, Environmental sensors, Badge readers, Control Panels, Power supplies, Sounders, Door contacts, Motion sensors, Maglocks, Electronic padlocks, Gate controllers, and IP intercom systems. Must have good understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP Able to lift and move oversized boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. Able to climb 6ft ladder Must have excellent customer service skills, and be highly proficient in both written and verbal communication.
