What You’ll Be Doing As our next Pre-Apprentice, you will engage in hands-on training designed to build foundational skills and knowledge. Gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment through structured job shadowing across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Participate in a guided personal project involving cutting, shaping, heat treating, and testing to meet design specifications Develop precision skills by measuring and recording dimensions throughout the fabrication process while maintaining quality standards Build foundational workplace and communication skills essential for success as a manufacturing apprentice What You Bring Open to high school juniors or above with an interest in skilled trades or manufacturing No prior experience required—ideal opportunity for students beginning their career journey Strengthen basic math, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities in real-world applications Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and reporting tasks Enhance teamwork and communication skills through collaboration in small group and one-on-one settings Requirements Ability to work Monday - Friday either on 1st shift (6am – 2:30pm) or day shift (8am – 4:30pm) Work in an active, hands-on environment requiring standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs occasionally) Ability to work in an environment with ongoing background noise About Us Founded in 1961 by Walter Sarstedt as a one person operation in Nümbrecht, Germany, SARSTEDT has grown into a leading global provider of laboratory and medcial technology solutions, employing over 3,000 people across 13 production sites spanning Europe, North and South America, and Australia.
