Our Water Infrastructure Group is rapidly expanding across the southern and western U.S., delivering some of the largest municipal water and wastewater projects in the market$50M$300M+ programs executed through CMAR and Progressive Design-Build. We're hiring a Project Director to lead large-scale water infrastructure projects from pursuit through closeout. In this senior leadership role, you'll have real autonomyowning the project, building your team, driving preconstruction, managing client relationships, and delivering results. You'll partner with municipalities, river authorities, and regional water authorities on transformative projects that are reshaping how communities' access and treat water.Job Responsibilities:Lead Pursuits & Win WorkDrive capture planning, go/no-go decisions, and teaming strategy for major water infrastructure pursuitsDevelop winning proposal narratives, technical approaches, and interview presentationsBuild and maintain relationships with owners, engineers of record, owner's advisors, and regulatory stakeholdersRepresent Haskell at industry events (DBIA, AWWA, TWCA, AMTA, WCDA, TXWIN)Drive PreconstructionLead the OPCC development and GMP packaging strategy from conceptual through final pricing alongside the preconstruction managerDrive constructability reviews during design development (BODR through IFC) alongside the preconstruction managerDevelop and defend project schedules, work packaging, procurement strategies, and self-perform plansNavigate state funding compliance requirements (e.g., TWDB SWIFT/SRF programs) and milestone commitmentsOwn Project DeliveryTake full accountability for safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance on projects from $50M to $300M+Lead the integrated project team: project managers, superintendents, field engineers, and design partnersManage self-perform work planning (~60% self-perform) and subcontractor coordinationServe as the primary client contact throughout execution, building trust and solving problems in real timeOversee commissioning, startup, and closeoutManage multiple concurrent projects at various stages balancing active pursuits, preconstruction efforts, and projects in execution simultaneouslyBuild People & CultureMentor and develop project managers, engineers, and emerging leadersOperate with transparency, accountability, and a team-first mindsetEmbody Haskell's collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to design-build deliveryEducation & Years of Experience:Bachelor's Degree in either Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related10+ years in heavy civil / water infrastructure construction, with at least 5 years in a Project Director or senior Project Manager role leading projects from pursuit through closeoutPE license and/or DBIA certification preferredTo thrive in this role, you'll need:Demonstrated experience leading project delivery across planning, evaluation, design, permitting, and construction for municipal water and wastewater infrastructureDirect, hands-on experience with CMAR and/or Progressive Design-Build delivery not just traditional hard-bid Design-Bid-BuildExperience leading individual projects of $50M+ with portfolio exposure to $100M+ programsDemonstrated ability to lead GMP development, OPCC validation, constructability reviews, and schedule development not just oversee themTechnical depth across at least two of the following: water treatment plants, transmission pipelines, pump stations, raw water intake structures, reservoir systems, water reclamation / wastewater treatment facilitiesComfortable managing or integrating self-perform concrete, mechanical piping, and process equipment installation within a design-build frameworkTrack record of building trust with public owners, owner's representatives, and design engineers in a collaborative delivery settingAt Haskell, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and more.
