Duties:Provide instruction and guidance to students in the absence of the regular teacherFollow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learningMaintain a safe and positive classroom environmentImplement classroom management strategies to promote student engagement and behavior managementAdapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of studentsCollaborate with other staff members to support student successProvide feedback to the regular classroom teacher regarding student progress and any issues that arise during your assignment.Complete all training required by TEA.Experience:Previous experience in childcare, early childhood education, tutoring, or related fields is preferredFamiliarity with math, literacy education, and lesson planning is beneficialExperience working with students of various ages and abilities, including preschool and special education students, is a plusStrong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with studentsQualifications:Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; higher education in education or related field is a plusAbility to pass a background checkStrong writing, reading and communication skills in EnglishStrong interpersonal skills.Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline.Flexibility and adaptability to work in different grade levels and subject areas.Prior experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.Physical Abilities Needed to Perform the AssignmentBe able to remain active for up to 8 hours consecutively, and have the ability to kneel, crouch, or sit comfortablyVisually and audibly able to monitor the classrooms and students and navigate for emergencies.Have the physical ability to perform CPRTo be able to move swiftly in emergency situationsBenefits:Choose the days and assignments that work best for youGain valuable experience working with diverse student populationsOpportunity to make a positive impact on students' livesCompetitive pay ratesTo apply for this position, please submit your resume highlighting your relevant experience and qualifications.
