Salary: See Position DescriptionLocation : Enterprise, ALJob Type: Part-TimeJob Number: 2023-24:14College/Division: ESCC-505100-Golf - MenOpening Date: 05/01/2024Closing Date: ContinuousCampus Location: Enterprise State Community CollegePosition SummaryThe Women's Golf Coach is responsible for supervising the women's golf program in accordance with state and national regulations including the recruitment and awarding of scholarships.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise the golf program in accordance with state and national regulations.Recruit individuals for the golf team; award Golf scholarships to appropriate individuals.Host visits with recruits and their families.Determine the eligibility of golf athletes and make proper reports to the Alabama Junior College Conference, National Junior College Athletic Association, and other appropriate agencies.Follow appropriate guidelines for the golf budget; request all golf purchases and secure requisitions and purchase orders as required by the Business OfficeAssist with Athletic Department class registration.Work to insure the academic success of golf players.Maintain appropriate insurance files and physicals on players.Develop the schedule for women's golf seasons.Promote and relate the golf program to the community.Promote the golf program state-wide and nationally.Work with the Athletic Director to develop and maintain a fundraising program for golf.Send appropriate notices of appreciation to individuals and organizations that make contributions to the golf program.Cooperate with the bookstore to insure the return of books provided to athletes on scholarship.Demonstrate personally the College's Code of Conduct and insure that all athletes observe this code on campus, at athletic events, and in the community.Contact and encourage four-year institutions to sign ESCC graduates to grants-in-aid.Assist in the recruitment and retention of students.Assist Athletic Director with ACCC Student Athlete documentation.Assist Athletic Director with match management.Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Exceptional oral and written communication skills.Excellent computer operational skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and focus on details in a constantly changing environment.Ability to work effectively with the public, including individuals with diverse backgrounds.Ability to accommodate change.Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50lbs.Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Capable of mobility; bend, kneel, reach.QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.A minimum of two years documented playing or coaching experience with golf at the high school or intercollegiate level.CDL License preferred or ability to obtain CDL upon employment.Application Procedures/Additional InformationPOSITION AVAILABLE: June 2024SALARY:Salary Schedule L $8,000-$15,000, based upon the Alabama Community College System Salary Schedule to be determined by the applicant's years of applicable experience.
