Mid-Level Software Engineer

This role involves working on analytics, large-scale data processing, real-time systems, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Python, and SQL, and be comfortable working both independently and within a collaborative team environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and enhance software systems based on documented requirementsAnalyze user requirements to derive system and software design specificationsDevelop new features and modify existing software to improve functionality and performanceDebug and resolve software defects and performance issuesIntegrate existing software into new or updated systems and environmentsDevelop and execute database queries and support data repository interactionsDesign and implement complex database interfaces and data processing logicDevelop algorithms to meet system performance and functional requirementsParticipate in software testing, validation, and documentation of resultsReview code and documentation to ensure compliance with design standardsProvide recommendations for improving software development processes and documentationSupport system design activities, including evaluating hardware/software trade-offs and reuse of existing solutions (COTS/GOTS)Collaborate with system engineers and stakeholders to analyze workflows, data usage, and system performanceContribute to team leadership activities as appropriate within the development processRequired QualificationsMust be fully cleared with a recent MD polygraphMust be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this postingBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of experience in software engineering on programs of similar scope and complexityStrong programming experience in Java and PythonExperience writing and optimizing SQL queriesExperience developing, testing, and maintaining software systemsExperience working with large datasets, analytics systems, or real-time applicationsExperience with software development methodologies and best practicesDesired QualificationsExperience using MATLAB for data analysis or algorithm developmentExperience developing advanced algorithms or working with scientific or mathematical modelsExperience working in Agile or similar development environmentsExperience leading small teams or mentoring junior developers#CJFantom Corp is a Software Development, Agile Cloud, Cyber Security (Risk Management, Assessments & Authorization (A&A)), Data, AI Platform (Computer Vision Models), Podcasting Media Services, and IT Services provider.
