Job TitleExperienced EstimatorJob Post SummarySeeking an experienced Construction Estimator with expertise in property restoration, repair, and reconstruction projects. The Estimator will prepare detailed scopes of work and estimates for residential and commercial properties affected by fire, water, flood, and other disasters. This role requires strong Xactimate experience, insurance claim estimating knowledge, financial management capabilities, subcontractor coordination, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Job Roles And ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed scopes of work for residential and commercial restoration and reconstruction projects.Create accurate and timely estimates using Xactimate.Assess and estimate damage caused by fire, water, flood, and other disasters.Prepare estimates requiring insurance company and third-party review and approval.Negotiate, settle, and finalize estimates with appropriate parties.Maintain project profitability while preparing estimates and managing project costs.Manage project financial activities, including budgeting, purchasing, and collections.Prepare work orders for subcontractors and internal crews.Coordinate and manage subcontractors and construction crews.Process project invoices and submit required documentation to the accounting team.Provide daily project reporting and update project progress in project management systems.Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project transitions.Use restoration, estimating, HR, accounting, and project management software as required.Respond to occasional emergency and on-call situations.Manage multiple projects and priorities in a high-volume environment.Maintain accurate project documentation and records.Qualifications And CertificationsMinimum of 3 years of full-charge residential and commercial construction experience.Strong hands-on experience preparing estimates for property restoration, repair, and reconstruction projects.Mandatory experience using Xactimate.Ability to estimate different types of structures affected by fire, water, flood, or other disasters.Experience working with insurance claims and third-party estimate approvals.Experience negotiating and finalizing estimates.Knowledge of construction costs, budgeting, purchasing, and project financial management.Experience coordinating subcontractors and construction crews.Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.Comfortable using project management and business software systems.High school diploma or equivalent required.Construction-related degree is preferred.Clean driving record and ability to meet company background requirements.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations.BenefitsPaid time offHealth insuranceDental insuranceMobile phoneRetirement benefits
