Tool & Die Maintenance Team Member
General Summary
Perform work requirements in an automotive manufacturing environment to meet production and quality needs.
Essential Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Perform maintenance on automotive dies for improving dimensional and surface quality of Stamping panels and to support Production to mass produce automobiles
Perform a variety of mechanical functions, such as corrective and predictive maintenance on automotive dies, automation, die pneumatics, welding, etc.
Operate large machinery such as Stamping Try-Out Press, CNC, lathe, and surface grinder, and mill, break press, straight cut shear, drill press, and TIG, MIG, ARC welders
Operate small machines such as saw, grinder, mill, and drill
Operate overhead crane and perform lifting and rigging in a safe manner
Repair and confirm die trim line steels, clearances, die scrap cutters, and defects such as updings, downdings, and flange lengths
Troubleshoot panel formability problems while developing short term and long term countermeasures and have a good understanding of forming die operations
Perform die washing operations per monthly schedule
Perform die hand grinding and stoning techniques
Attend all required training as assigned
Comply with and promote company practices in the areas of SQECP (Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Cost, and People)
Qualifications and Job Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Job-related experience in a manufacturing / industrial / warehousing / distribution environment preferred
Ability to perform physical and exertional tasks and meeting other essential position requirements including social and physical environmental factors
Position may require occasional travel (domestic and/or foreign)
Flexibility in working hours including ability to work day, evening and night rotating shifts, daily overtime, weekends, and holidays
