We believe in building trusted relationships with our clients and reinforcing our commitment to getting the job done right and on time. Position OverviewWe are actively seeking a seasoned Independent Contractor (1099) Superintendent, with proven retail tenant improvement experience, who thrives in fast-paced, high expectations settings. This role requires the ability to drive schedules, coordinate trades, and deliver high-quality projects on time, every time.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all on-site construction activities for retail tenant finish and small ground up projectsRead and execute plans to owner specificationsDevelop and manage schedules, including three-week lookaheadsCoordinate subcontractors, inspections, and landlord requirementsCommunicate daily with the Project Manager on progress and challengesProactively solve issues to maintain schedule and qualityMaintain accurate documentation in Procore (daily logs, photos, schedules, RFIs, etc.)Enforce jobsite safety and lead weekly safety meetingsParticipate in client/owner and contractor weekly meetingsAssist Project Manager with change orders and close out documentationPosition Requirements 5+ years of experience in retail and/or restaurant tenant improvement projectsStrong understanding of retail finishes, sequencing, and turnover requirementsAbility to manage multiple trades in active, deadline-driven environmentsStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsOSHA certification requiredMicrosoft Office requiredProcore Construction Software is a plusWork RequirementsTravel throughout state of Texas may be required (projects typically 10-16 weeks)On-site daily (Monday-Friday), weekends as needed.Must be present whenever subcontractors are workingValid driver’s license requiredInsurance Required (General Liability/$1M)
