CNC Machinist Operator

Job Description Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our team on 3rd shift. In this role, you should haveFull understanding of CNC machine operation with basic programming understandingFollow Work Instructions and Inspection Procedures Load/Unload parts onto machine fixtures properlyUnderstand blueprint GD&T/ dimensional tolerances Use inspection gauges to insure production of quality partsMaintain an organized work areaCompliance to Company EMS PolicyPerforms other duties as required to maintain a clean, productive, safe working environmentUnderstand and comply with required ISO standardsCross trained to have a full understanding of an entire cell or product line and all shop equipmentDetermine a good part from a bad part using work instructions and inspection processes Accurately read quality measurement tools and gaugesManage tool changes and CNC setupsTroubleshoot machines, understand alarms, understand programming and basic recovery techniquesUnderstanding tool management; changing tools, correctly setting tool offsetsRoutine machine maintenance: tool oil & coolant levels, tooling within scope of job, mopping & wiping down machines, gauge calibration processCapable of multitasking: Keeping multiple cells running while providing leadership experienceTeach others the details of machines and operationsSkillsBasic Requirements1)Must understand the decimal system both inch and metric.2) Must be capable of reading and understanding blueprints.3) Preferably some former experience machining and using inspection gauges.Machine operation:1) Must be capable of loading and unloading castings within a weight range up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift.2) Must be able to position castings onto the machine fixtures properly and recognize when not loaded correctly.3) Must be capable of making tool offsets and understand tool wear. 4) Must be capable of performing tool changes when required.Inspection requirements:1) Must be capable of determining the high and low tolerance band of features from blueprints.
