Automation Engineer

Job Title: Automation EngineerDuration: 12monthsLocation: Fort Worth TX Top Skills:• Programs PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems. Specifically A-B PLCs and Ignition SCADA• OEE Programming (PLCs and SCADA)• Strong understanding of: OEE concepts, Manufacturing processes and equipment, PLC-based automation and machine data collection• Lead the end-to-end implementation of manufacturing OEE systems, from requirements definition through production rollout• Configure OEE software platforms (commercial or custom) including data models, dashboards, KPIs, and reports• Design machine connectivity architecture (PLC, sensors, edge devices, historians) to collect accurate production and downtime data• Ensure consistent OEE logic and metrics across linesKey Responsibilities:• Manages the installation of automation systems while ensuring safety, and validating the automated system for adherence to requirements, CGMPs, and intended system operation.• Supports Automation Technicians in situations where troubleshooting or technology may fall outside of their area of expertise.• Interacts with production supervisors/managers to identify areas to improve equipment throughput, flexibility, quality, safety, and/or reliability.• Plans and executes engineering project work with minimal supervision.• Troubleshoots equipment/process control systems and change control activities.• Programs PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems.
