Plant Manager

The ideal candidate MUST come from the Food and Beverage Industry. They will have experience managing both a production facility and a team. They should be able to analyze each step of the manufacturing process and make effective use of resources to deliver desired outcomes. The candidate will also have an ability to follow safety and compliance guidelines diligently in order to create a healthy work environment for all employees. The following are some duties and responsibilities of a Plant Manager:Oversee operations to ensure safetyDevelop plans that help operations run smoothlyManage productionCreate and manage budgetsRecruit, train and onboard new employeesCollect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and wasteAnalyze data and create reports to present to executives regarding processesEvaluate employees and give suggestions for improvementOversee work schedules to ensure coveragePerform routine safety checks on equipmentSkillsProven work experience as a Plant ManagerProven managerial experienceAdequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertiseBe knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processesComputer literacyAbility to create accountability and to lead by exampleStrong team building, decision-making and people management skillsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Management or relevant field6+ years of experience in fieldExperience in plant management and manufacturing operations Strong communication, management and supervisory skills
