Job DescriptionPosition Title: AI DeveloperPosition Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract AI Developer opportunity.Job Responsibilities:Front-end development: Build and maintain user-facing components for internal AI tool(s), translating design and product requirements into clean, responsive, functional interfaces.Unit testing: Write and maintain unit tests for front-end code to ensure reliability, catch regressions early, and support a healthy CI/CD pipeline.Data acquisition integration: Implement and support integrations that pull data from internal and external sources into our AI tools (APIs, internal databases, third-party services).Collaborate with senior developers and AI/ML engineers to understand tool requirements and translate them into working software.Debug and troubleshoot issues across the front end and data integration layers.Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to continuously improve code quality.Document your work clearly so others can understand, maintain, and build on it.Job Qualifications:Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or similar).Familiarity with writing unit tests (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, or equivalent).Basic understanding of REST APIs and/or other data integration patterns (webhooks, ETL, database queries).Comfortable working independently, asking clarifying questions, and managing your own task list.Exposure to AI/ML-powered applications or tools (consuming LLM APIs, working with AI-generated content, etc.).Experience with TypeScript.Familiarity with version control workflows (Git) and collaborative development practices.Prior contract or freelance development experience.Strong communication skills desired.The service provider will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and a desire to foster teamwork.Travel Required: 0-5%.Job Details:Job Type: ContractPay Rate Range: $32-$46/hr (Pay rates are approved based on candidate location, education and experience)Location: 100% Remote AcceptableExport control regulations require candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Legal Permanent Resident, or of a protected person statusBenefits Package: Protingent offers competitive salaries, insurance plan options (HDHP plan or POS plan), education/certification reimbursement, pre-tax commuter benefits, Paid Time Off (PTO), and an administered 401k plan.About Protingent: Protingent is an Award-Winning provider of top-tier Engineering and IT talent, trusted by companies at the forefront of innovation — from Software and Aerospace to AI, Clean Tech, Medical Devices, and Connected Technologies.
