Associate Director – Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting (CPA)Hybrid | Southwest Los Angeles (4 days onsite / 1 remote)$130K–$145K base + 15% bonus + strong retirement contribution + excellent benefitsWe’re hiring a senior‑level technical accounting and SEC reporting leader to serve as the go‑to authority for complex accounting matters and public reporting. This role partners directly with executive leadership, influences accounting policy, and owns key judgments for a growing, sophisticated organization.This is a high‑visibility role with real autonomy, significant exposure to senior leadership, and a clear path for continued growth.What You’ll DoAct as the technical accounting subject matter expert across US GAAP (IFRS exposure a plus)Evaluate and conclude on complex, non‑routine transactions, including partnerships, investments, and evolving revenue streamsAuthor formal accounting memoranda and defend conclusions with external auditors (KPMG)Lead SEC reporting research, disclosures, and compliance for 10‑Q and 10‑K filingsDraft and manage responses to SEC comment lettersTranslate technical accounting conclusions into clear business implications for non‑finance leadersSet, maintain, and update company accounting policiesProvide implementation guidance across accounting, FP&A, and systems teamsSupport consolidation and close processes in higher‑risk or judgmental areasWhat We’re Looking ForActive CPA required5-7+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong foundation in public accounting (Big 4 experience strongly preferred)Hands‑on experience with SEC filings and external auditor managementComfortable operating in judgmental areas and taking ownership of conclusionsConfident communicator who can engage constructively with auditors and senior leadershipFinancial services experience is a plus, not a requirementWhy This RoleTrue ownership and accountability, not just reviewDirect access to leadership and influence over accounting policyHybrid schedule with a consistent, predictable in‑office cadenceOpportunity to step into a broader leadership role over time
