2D Drafter

Drafting Technician Pay: $26/hr Location: [Add location if needed] We're hiring a Drafting Technician with 2+ years of experience to support commercial construction projects focused on architectural metal systems, including roofing and wall panels. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technical drafting, wants to grow their skills, and be part of a collaborative, fast-paced team working on architecturally driven projects. What You'll Do Create and modify detailed 2D CAD drawings based on architectural plans and engineering updates Develop shop drawings and fabrication packages for production and installation Compile complete drawing sets for submittals and field use Perform material takeoffs and support release to manufacturing Work closely with engineers, designers, project managers, and installers Assist with general CAD and project support tasks Help maintain organization of shared project files What We're Looking For 2+ years of drafting experience in construction or architectural environments Strong proficiency in: AutoCAD Bluebeam Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs Understanding of building construction and drafting standards Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects Nice to Have Experience with metal roofing, wall panels, or sheet metal systems Experience creating fabrication/shop drawings Background in commercial or industrial construction projects Drafting certificate or degree
