Elementary Teacher

We are looking to hire a teacher passionate about helping underprivileged children have the opportunity to pursue their dreams. Our students are all refugee and immigrant students. Our dream is to provide the best academic experience for underprivileged students, so they can continue in the public school system as part of our reintegration program upon graduation from our academy.Our school is entirely in-person. Each class has from 10-15 students. Students are at different academic ability levels, so the teacher must be able to assess, evaluate, and monitor individual student progress, recognizing each student will need something different.Responsibilities will include:Manage and track academic progress of each studentCreate SMART goals and track progress to achieve themImplement classroom and individualized teaching strategiesDesign and teach creative lessons, to challenge and engage studentsAdapt as year progresses to best meet varying needs of studentsIdentify areas of strength and weaknesses of each student, to build on strengths and find creative solutions to develop weaknesses in fun, engaging ways
