Java Software Engineer (OpenText OTMM / ECM)

We’re hiring a Java Engineer with strong OpenText OTMM / Extended ECM experience to support enterprise content and media asset management systems. This role is focused on working within OpenText ecosystems, managing digital assets, and building backend services that support structured content workflows. 🌍You’ll be part of a distributed team working on systems where reliability, organization, and integration are key. The role combines Java backend development with DAM/MAM domain expertise, making it ideal for engineers who enjoy working with content platforms, structured data, and enterprise tools in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesWork hands-on with OpenText OTMM / Extended ECM platformsDevelop and maintain backend applications using Java (8+) and frameworks such as Spring and HibernateBuild and integrate RESTful APIs and web servicesWork with relational databases to manage and query structured dataCollaborate with teams to support and improve content and asset management systemsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues across systems and integrationsFollow best practices in version control and development workflowsBasic QualificationsProven experience with OpenText Media Management (OTMM)In-depth knowledge of OpenText Extended ECM (xECM) or other OTMM versionsStrong understanding of Digital Asset Management (DAM) or Media Asset Management (MAM) conceptsProficiency in Java (8+) and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate)Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principlesExperience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, or similar)Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and web servicesExperience using version control tools such as GitStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to quickly learn and adapt in a dynamic environmentGood written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications ⭐Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React)Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and ConfluenceStrong attention to detail and structured problem-solving approach
