Job Description Aegis Worldwide CNC Machinist 2nd SHIFT/$20-$25/hr/Contract-to-Hire Franklin, IN Overview: Aegis Worldwide is curently partnered with a machine and engineering shop. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor Swiss CNC lathes including Citizen L32, L220E, L20, and L12 turning centers Read and interpret blueprints to produce precision-machined components that meet customer specifications Perform tool changes, offsets, and programming adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency Inspect finished parts using metrology instruments and optical comparators to ensure accuracy and compliance Support production needs across telecommunications, defense, medical, and aerospace manufacturing projects Requirements Experience operating and setting up Swiss-style CNC lathes required Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications Knowledge of tooling, offsets, programming adjustments, and precision measurement techniques Experience using metrology equipment and optical comparators for quality inspections Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Company DescriptionItalian-owned OEM manufacturer of Capital Equipment.
