This individual will partner closely with executive leadership and oversee program directors across multiple service areas.This role is responsible for ensuring effective program delivery, strengthening internal systems, and supporting organizational strategy. The Director of Programs will also contribute to cross-functional leadership efforts, staff development, and external partnerships.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLeadership & Team DevelopmentDirectly manage and support program and department leadersProvide coaching and professional development to strengthen leadership capacityFacilitate regular management meetings and alignment sessionsGuide program planning, goal setting, and outcome measurementPerformance & Systems ManagementHelp enhance and oversee organizational reporting and data systemsSupport continuous improvement of program performance trackingDrive adoption and optimization of internal database toolsEnsure effective use of data to inform decision-makingOrganizational Culture & OperationsPromote a collaborative, inclusive, and mission-driven workplaceLead or support organization-wide initiatives such as retreats, staff engagement efforts, and internal eventsPartner with executive leadership on developing policies and operational practicesEnsure consistent implementation of internal procedures across teamsOversee compliance-related training and requirementsExternal EngagementSupport grant writing, reporting, and funding effortsRepresent the organization with community partners, funders, and stakeholdersBuild and maintain key external relationshipsEngage with local education and community partners as neededBoard EngagementServe as a supporting liaison to the Board of DirectorsAssist with committee coordination, meeting preparation, and follow-up actionsSupport communication between board members and program staffEnsure program updates and organizational initiatives are clearly communicatedAdditional ResponsibilitiesParticipate in advocacy and community engagement initiativesContribute to strategic organizational prioritiesTake on additional duties as needed to support the missionQUALIFICATIONSGraduate degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit leadership or a related fieldSignificant experience overseeing programs and teams in a dynamic environmentStrong leadership skills with a focus on coaching and developmentProven ability to manage complex initiatives and multiple prioritiesSound judgment and ability to navigate challenging decisionsCollaborative and adaptable working styleExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across stakeholdersCommitment to equity, inclusion, and mission-driven workInterested in hearing more?
