Lead, Analytics Engineering
Overview
As Engineering Lead at Avison Young Technologies, you will steer the strategy and delivery of proprietary data products and models that support CRE decisions for investors, occupiers, and public sector clients. You’ll partner with clients, advisory teams, and leadership to design scalable, insight-driven solutions for portfolio analysis, site and market search, and highest-and-best-use use cases. You combine CRE strategy know-how with product management to translate needs into usable products and guide cross-functional delivery. This role offers a chance to shape data-driven decisions in a global CRE advisory context and to impact how teams work with data.

ResponsibilitiesLead full lifecycle of data products and data science models from discovery to launch and iterationOversee data science and data engineering teams to develop mathematical approaches for CRE decisionsCollaborate with engineering, data science, and product teams to deliver usable data products and validate requirementsManage data and technology vendor relationships including renewals and data evaluationEnsure governance and responsible data usage across products and workflowsSupport go-to-market teams with product positioning and market fitDefine and track success metrics for data productsCommunicate strategy, roadmap, and releases to stakeholders and clientsPerform additional duties as assigned
Key requirementsBachelor's degree in relevant fieldMinimum 10 years in CRE strategy with at least 5 years in technology, data, and analyticsStrong SQL, data architecture, data pipelines, and geospatial datasets knowledgeStrong understanding of CRE strategyExcellent verbal, written, and presentation skillsSelf-starter with proactive, entrepreneurial mindsetProven ability to influence without authority and build cross-team relationshipsexcellent communicationproactive mindsetinfluencing without authoritySQLdata architecturedata pipelines
