Wire Slitter Operator
Adecco is hiring for a Wire Slitter Operator in Collinsville, IL 2nd shift hours**Job Summary**The Slitter Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the slitting line to cut metal coils into specific widths. You will ensure high-quality production while adhering to all safety standards.**Key Responsibilities**+ **Machine Set-up:** Configure slitting knives, spacers, and tension rolls according to work order specifications.+ **Operation:** Thread coils through the slitter, operate the machine at productive speeds, and ensure smooth processing.+ **Quality Control:** Check slit coils for gauge, width, burrs, and surface quality using micrometers and calipers.+ **Material Handling:** Load and unload master coils and finished product safely using overhead cranes or forklifts.+ **Documentation:** Accurately document production, including coil ID creation, footage, and scrap tracking.+ **Safety & Maintenance:** Maintain a clean work area (5S) and perform basic troubleshooting or preventive maintenance on equipment.**Pay Details:** $17.00 to $20.00 per hourBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
