Location: Apizza Alimentari, Fayetteville, New YorkJob Type: Full-Time | Reports To: Front of House ManagementPosition Summary: The Host is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a welcoming and hospitable environment. This position focuses on greeting guests, managing seating flow, and providing an exceptional hospitality experience. The Host helps orient guests to the restaurant, guides them through the different areas of the space when appropriate, and ensures that every guest feels welcomed, informed, and cared for from arrival through seating.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a welcoming first impression. Manage reservations, waitlists, and table seating to ensure efficient dining room flow. Escort guests to their tables and provide brief orientation to the dining space when appropriate. Offer light tour-style guidance of restaurant areas such as dining rooms, bar, deli counter, or café areas when assisting guests. Communicate clearly with servers and management regarding table availability and guest needs. Answer phones and assist guests with reservations, questions, and directions. Provide attentive guest service by anticipating needs and addressing concerns promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry areas.
