Machine & Tool , the Lead CNC Programmer – Turning plays a
critical role in developing, optimizing, and leading CNC turning
operations on complex, small-batch components. This is a
leadership-level programming position focused on process ownership,
quality, and continuous improvement — not just running pre-written
programs.---The Work
You’ll Be DoingIn this role, you
will:Program and set up multi-axis CNC
turning centersCreate and optimize toolpaths
usingHypermilland
longhandG/M codeWork
directly at the machine (Fanuc controls) to edit, refine, and
validate programsSelect tooling, determine
workholding, and design fixturingRun
high-mix, low-volume aerospace and medical
jobsEstimate cycle times, tooling cost, and
program efficiencyPerform first-article
validation and in-process
inspectionTroubleshoot machining issues and
adjust feeds/speeds/offsetsDevelop process
control plans and manage tool lifeTrain and
mentor setup machinists and
operatorsCollaborate with operations and
engineering to maintain
