Maintenance Supervisor
Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance, repair, and overall reliability of facility equipment and systems. This role is responsible for planning and executing preventive and predictive maintenance programs, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.Job DutiesLead, coach, and support a team of maintenance technicians to ensure high performance and engagement.Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, goals, and performance measures.Support production operations by ensuring all equipment, machinery, and facility systems are maintained and operating efficiently.Coordinate maintenance activities with production and other departments to minimize downtime.Analyze equipment performance data and identify opportunities for improvement and increased reliability.Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers.Manage maintenance budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.Document, track, and report on maintenance activities, projects, and performance metrics.Oversee spare parts inventory to ensure availability while controlling costs.Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support overall plant operations.Working ConditionsThis position is safety-sensitive and involves direct interaction with machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment. Conditions include:Exposure to a non-climate-controlled facility where temperatures may exceed outdoor conditionsExtended periods of sitting and working at a computerFrequent standing, walking, bending, and physical movement throughout the facilityAbility to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds as neededAbility to bend, stoop, crawl, climb stairs, and use laddersVisual requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustmentFlexibility to adjust work schedule and hours based on operational needsRequired Education, Experience & SkillsBachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field.7+ years of progressive maintenance experience in an manufacturing environment.Minimum of 2 years of experience using maintenance management systems (CMMS)Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (metal stamping or roll-forming environment preferred).Strong understanding of mechanical systems and working knowledge of tools, equipment, and industrial devices.Practical experience with electrical systems ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC (3-phase).Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical documents, and safety proceduresWorking knowledge of PLC systemsFamiliarity with OSHA standards related to metal stamping and mechanical power pressesProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer literacyStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levelsSelf-motivated with strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skillsDetail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentBasic math skills, including the ability to work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimalsKnowledgeable and hands-on experience working with basic electricity ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC (3 phase).Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics, blueprints, technical procedures, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.#iceindustries#iceindprem
