Market Development Representative Join our team as a Market Development Representative specializing in our Specialty Brands portfolio! In this role, you will be a pivotal partner in driving volume and distribution sales goals for targeted brands within unique and dynamic market territories in the Greater Los Angeles area.Targeted Brands Include: Fireball, 1792, BuzzBallz, Paul Masson, Wheatley, Corazon, 99 Brand, Heublein, Svedka, Sazerac Rye, Taaka, Southern Comfort, Grand Gala Cognac, Sheep DogWhat You'll Be Doing:As an MDR for Specialty Brands, your role will include:Crafting Solutions for Growth: Implement creative and strategic solutions specifically tailored to challenging accounts to drive increased market share.Brand Building: Leverage consumer insights and category trends to educate diverse decision-makers, creatively overcome objections, and enhance product placement and sales.Distribution Leadership: Guide distributor partners to optimize in-store selling, strategic merchandising, and effective account execution.Volume Objectives: Achieve sales volume targets, especially emphasizing high-volume value-tier products through strategic placement and storytelling about profitability.Strategic Program Execution: Execute programs focused on distribution, creative merchandising, displays, and targeted retail promotional activities, driving tangible results.Rapport Building: Cultivate deep, mutually beneficial relationships with diverse customers, including Syrian, Indian, and Asian decision-makers, through understanding their unique business needs.Communication & Collaboration: Serve as the communication lead, effectively liaising between key accounts, wholesalers, and internal stakeholders.KPI Monitoring: Track and manage KPIs rigorously to ensure consistent achievement of business objectives.*Job responsibilities may vary by state depending on regulatory requirements for the state.#LI-KG1Qualifications/Requirements Do you have an achievements-based resume? Highlight your accomplishments and the impact you've made in your sales career!Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experienceExperience: Minimum 1 year of sales experience in the alcohol-beverage or CPG (consumer packaged goods) industries. On-premise experience is preferred. New college graduates require a sales/marketing internship or full/part-time sales role (preferably in consumer-packaged goods) and/or sales competition experience.Results-Driven: Proven volume objectives and ability to deliver on new points of distribution (PODs), well placements, menu placements, events, and promotions.Technical Savvy: Demonstrated success using sales data analytics and tools to drive sales results, identify market trends, and produce measurable results.Mobility: A valid driver's license and ability to travel within an assigned territory is required.Schedule: Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.Location: Candidate must reside in or near the territory.Expenses: Ability to personally cover ordinary and essential business expenses that will be promptly reimbursed.Compliance: Required to obtain a solicitor's permit in any state.Physical Requirements:Standing for an extended period of timeAbility to pick up and/or move objects up to 35lbs without assistanceAscend or descend stairsAbility to drive and visit multiple accounts in one dayStrong communication skillsCulture and Benefits Sazerac offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, and more. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal pay equity considerations.For roles within our commercial team - the Salary range refers to base salary only and does not include car allowance, annual bonus, fuel or cell phone reimbursement.
