Company DescriptionCamp Cayuga is a private, coed, and nonsectarian sleepaway camp located in the picturesque Pocono Mountains in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Since 1962, this family-owned camp has provided children aged 6-16 with modern facilities, including pools, stables, tennis courts, a skate park, gymnasiums, a fitness room, and more. Accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), Camp Cayuga offers valuable opportunities for staff to gain experience while working with high-caliber team members from around the world. Senior Staff members receive competitive salaries, travel allowances, free room and board, and additional benefits such as free camp tuition for their child. The camp operates from mid-June to mid-August, delivering a unique summer experience.Role DescriptionThe Senior Staff role is a seasonal, on-site position located in Honesdale, PA, at Camp Cayuga. Responsibilities include overseeing camp operations, managing activities, guiding and supporting campers, and collaborating with the leadership team to ensure a safe and engaging environment. Senior Staff positions hired for include; athletic directors; art directors; waterfront staff; horseback staff; medical staff (RNs, LPNS, EMTs); food service, support staff (kitchen staff, maintenance, van driver); and office administration. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with children and talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping to foster growth and provide a wonderful summer experience for all participants.QualificationsExperience in leadership roles, team management, and mentoring.Proficiency in your field of expertise, such as athletics, arts, adventure activities, or administration duties.Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals in a team-oriented environment.Energetic, adaptable, and passionate about working with children and youth in a camp setting.Previous experience in camp settings or working with youth is preferred but not mandatory.First Aid and CPR certification is a plus, along with any other relevant qualifications or certifications related to your expertise.
