In this role, you will partner closely with Principal Investigators (PIs), academic departments, central finance, and research administration offices to support effective stewardship of sponsored funds throughout the award lifecycle. In addition, this role will provide oversight and leadership within the Cancer Center's grants administration team. Manages entire grant lifecycle.Contract Negotiation: Drafts and administers research, sponsored research, and related agreements.Supervision & Mentorship: May provide guidance to Grants and Contracts team mebers and administrative staff, aiding in their training and reviewing their work product for accuracyCompliance & Monitoring: Ensures compliance with state, federal, and private sponsor regulations; monitors grant budgets and manages all relevant reporting.Faculty Support: Collaborates with researchers to identify funding opportunities and ensures timely reporting.Additional SCCC specific duties:1) May manage large, multi-PI project submissions and grant lifecycle2) May provide support to Assistant Director of Department Grant AdministrationMust have a minimum of 5 years of experience in sponsored research - submitting and administering research grants.Preferred:Experience managing large grant portfoliosPrior supervisory or project management experienceSECURITY AND EEO STATEMENTSecurityThis position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.EEO
