We are the backbone of TPG.About The RoleThe Deputy Program Manager (Interim) provides overall oversight of daily operations to guests within a processing facility, serves as the primary liaison for the client and the primary POC with corporate and other stakeholders. Must have expertise in operations leadership, great communication skills and be fully bilingual in English/Spanish. Must be able to work in a high-speed and diverse environment, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and must maintain a respectful relationship with the guests and provide a high level of responsiveness and social awareness. This position reports directly to the Program Director and serves as the interim Program Manager when the PM is out.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToOversee and responsible for all operations to include routine communications with stakeholders and invested third parties, site leadership and corporate personnel.Responsible for the execution of all operations, contract deliverables, performance measures and required metrics associated with the contract. Manage the daily operation of the facility and all related activities such as movement within the facility and daily volume of visitorsResponsible for the oversight of various departments such as Intake, Community Resource Coordination, Travel and ticketing and volunteersResponsible for the daily completion of the facility ICS 209 reportEnsure a safe and secure environmentPlan and provide training and supervision of staff through meetings and individual sessions, or as needed based on performanceResponsible for ensuring contract performance metrics are captured and conduct periodic auditsMonitor and maintain high standards of safety in the facility evidenced by incident reports, investigation reports, and compliance with all safety protocolsEnsure completion/submission of all required reports as scheduledIdentify systems and operational challenges and make recommendations for improved process flowsRoutinely check in with staff in all functional areas to ensure they have the tools and resources needed to successfully do their jobEnsure staff levels are in line with contract requirements and track weekly labor hoursPerform other duties as requestedMinimum Requirements2 years of experience managing personnel2 years of experience working with migrant populations within emergency response/humanitarian environmentsBilingual in Spanish & EnglishExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsMust possess strong computer skills in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.Ability to type 45 wpm.Work EnvironmentThis role is onsite in the San Diego area at a Migrant Processing Day Center. Tasks/assignments are dynamic and will change based on needs and resource availability, meaning this role is expected to provide additional administrative support, including the completion of data entry and other duties, as needed.Work ScheduleThis is an interim, full-time position that typically requires shifts during operating hours. Shifts are dependent on the position and needs of the operation. Personnel supporting this operation will be provided with a set schedule. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Required to push/pull objects occasionally/frequently. May be required to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to heat/cold/noise.
